How do I return or exchange something I bought?

We're happy to exchange or refund your purchase within 60 days of receipt. For additional information and exclusions, see our Return Policy.

Returns Are Easy! Just follow these 4 easy steps.

Step 1

Complete it & Clip it

Fill out the Return Form on the packing slip. Cut the shipping label from the bottom of the form.

Pack it

Include the Return Form in the box with your item to exchange or return.

Label it

Attach the shipping label to the box. Don't forget to remove any old labels or bar codes.

Ship it

If you use our return label, keep the tracking number for your records until the return is received and credited (we will need proof if your package is lost or not scanned). If you pay to ship the return, get a receipt for proof of your return and keep it until credit has been issued.

What is the cost for return shipping?

Return postage or shipping fees are the responsibility of the customer, except for damaged or defective items, duplicate items or items that you did not order. Determination of product condition is subject to our inspection. All other returns will be charged return postage or shipping fees, which will be deducted from your total refund amount.

If you received a packing slip with a prepaid return label, you may use it to send back your order. If you did not receive a packing slip with a prepaid return label, just sign into your account and go to My Orders on the left side. Click on Returns Center. Select the order and the items you would like to return and hit the Print Label button. A packing slip with a prepaid return label will be included in your printouts. A $7.95 shipping fee will be applied to returns using our prepaid return label.

If you would like to make an exchange, exchange options are listed on the Return Form on the packing slip.

Please note, for items that were oversize or curbside delivery (ship codes O - R), a $50 shipping fee will be applied to returns for refund. Prepaid return labels are not available for oversize or curbside delivery items, or for Fingerhut FreshStart accounts. For help with returning your oversize or curbside delivery item, or for FreshStart orders, please contact Customer Service.

What if my item is damaged, defective or isn't what I ordered?

We’d like a chance to make this right. If your item arrived damaged, defective, or is not what you ordered, and it is eligible for return you can use the pre-paid return label you may have received in your package. If you do not have your return label or packing slip, just sign into your account and go to My Orders on the left side. Click on Returns Center. Select the order and the items you would like to return and hit the Print Label button. A return label and packing slip will be included in your print outs.

Product concerns beyond the return period must be handled under the manufacturer’s warranty, when applicable. Manufacturer information can be found in your product manual. If not found there, or if a manual is not included, please check our Manufacturer Contact Information list here.

Cell phones can be returned only if defective or damaged and exchanges are for an identical device.

When will my return be credited or my exchange be sent?

Once your return has been scanned by the shipper, we will display the tracking information in the Returns Center in the My Orders area of Fingerhut.com. You can also visit the shipper's website and enter in your tracking number. If you are using a Fingerhut-generated prepaid return label, you can track your label at UPS Tracking and enter your tracking number. It typically takes up to 15 days from the time you mail your item to us to receive it and credit your account. If the request is approved and you have provided us with your email address, we will email you when your account has been credited or an exchange order has been placed.

If it has been more than 15 days since you returned your package, and it has been at least 5 days since your package was last scanned per tracking information, download an affidavit form to assist us with researching your returned package. Once you have filled the form out, email it back to us for faster service. We will conduct an investigation and respond to you typically within 3 business days to let you know the result of our investigation. Click here to download an affidavit.

I want to return an item, but I don't have my return label and/or packing slip.
